A Japanese power transmission and conveyor belting manufacturer is looking for Application Engineer (m/f/d). They work with customers in a large number of diverse industries and with a history spanning over 130 years and 18 affiliates in 13 different countries.

 

Job Resonsibilities

  • Research and development of new products and applications

  • Analyse quality issues/problems for the resolution of material and/or applications and technical support to various areas and customers

  • Technical Consultation: Supports sales, inside sales, and the production department

  • Support other members of corporation with technical assistance and information. 

  • Customer technical support

  • 10-15% Business trip to the customer, production site (inside/outside Germany)

  • Developing new customers and acquisition of OEM customers

  • Reporting monthly/quarterly to manager / director about customer visits and other activities

  • Close communication with related departments such as fabrication centre, accounting, and sales and of course management

  • Participation in the organization, preparation and implementation of trade fairs

  • Other additional work

 

Job Requirements

  • Native level German and Business level English

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Technology, or Physics

  • Background or experience related to belts or mechanical power systems is preferred

  • Driver's license

  • Computer literate with various Microsoft Applications
