A leading Japanese freight forwarding company offering comprehensive services in transportation, warehousing, and delivery is seeking an Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative (m/f/d) for its Frankfurt office.
With multiple locations across Germany and the EU, and more than 50 logistics specialists in Europe alone, the company combines global standards with strong local expertise.

 

Job Responsibilities
Handling and managing day-to-day tasks:
Create offers: communicate with international sister companies, agents and transport companies, creating invoices for specific customers (especially regarding cross-trade business), extracting and analyzing shipping data

Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality standards
Realizing company goals, conducting personal self-development
Solving issues in an appropriate manner
Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining documents, reports, and data

Communicating effectively with internal departments and external partners:
Coordination with other departments, warehouses, branches and international locations, handling of inquiries from existing and new customers as well as international sister companies regarding import, export, cross-trade (e-mail, telephone, personally), handling of reclamations, negotiating purchase prices

Warehouse duties including cargo inspection and light tasks such as checking for damage, counting items, and attaching labels
Occasional courtesy visits to customers and suppliers.
Reviewing bid/tender documents and verifying costs.

Supporting the optimization of workflows and processes
Providing guidance and support to junior staff and new team members
Coordinating appointments and monitoring deadlines
Maintaining databases and filing systems
Enter data into our ERP system

 

Job Requirements
Business proficiency in English and German languages (Japanese or additional languages are a plus)
Proven experience in inside sales or customer service in the Logistics / Forwarding field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, especially with challenging ones
Customer-oriented mindset with a problem-solving attitude
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
High level of responsibility and attention to detail
