COMPANY OVERVIEW
We are a Japanese-owned IT vendor based in Düsseldorf, Germany, providing dedicated IT services to our group companies across Europe — including sales, wholesale, and manufacturing entities. Our team develops and maintains the digital infrastructure that keeps these businesses running: ERP interface applications, a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS), and a fully custom-built ERP solution for our manufacturing subsidiary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for stable network operations and project-based tasks for Japanese corporate clients.
Network troubleshooting and operational support
Initial investigation when internet connections are down
Line checks and on-site inspection of routers/switches in server rooms
Troubleshooting based on device status (LED indicators, configuration checks, etc.)
Technical communication with internet providers and carriers in English
Network design, configuration, and deployment
Configuration and management of routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points
Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment (configuration, operation, troubleshooting)
Project-based work
Network design for office relocations and new office setups
New internet line arrangements
Selection, procurement, and design of Wi-Fi devices, routers, and switches
Customer proposals and project coordination (including PM-related tasks)
Team collaboration
Participation in team meetings conducted in Japanese
Creation and maintenance of documentation in Japanese
Long-term support for existing clients
JOB REQUIREMENTS
＜COMPETENCY (“Must”)＞
Around 3+ years of practical experience as a Network Engineer
Hands-on experience with Cisco network equipment (mandatory)
Experience configuring routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points
Strong troubleshooting skills for network-related issues
Ability to communicate technically with internet service providers in English
Good communication skills for customer-facing and internal coordination
＜COMPETENCY (“Nice to have”)＞
Experience in office relocation or new network implementation projects
Experience as a project manager or sub-project manager for small to mid-sized projects
Basic firewall configuration knowledge
Experience supporting Japanese corporate customers
