Japanese chemical related company is looking for Engineer.

The development engineer will be part of the Material Development team and will act as interface to

internal and external compounding partners and will support the quality assurance of regional production

runs. Further the development engineer will develop and execute compounding trials with the scope of new

markets and applications. He/she will contribute to create new ideas for innovative products and

applications in the market. The development engineer will as well support customers trials in the phase of

new material introduction.


• Development and compounding of Engineering Plastics i.e. PA66, PP compounds, m-PPE and POM

• Interface with internal and external compounding partners

• Responsibility for experimental design (DoE), testing, analysis and documentation

• Experience in project planning and (preferred) in quality management

• Close cooperation with suppliers, institutes and other third parties

• Support Technical Service team if necessary for material introduction within the scope of

compounding and quality

• Communication and collaboration with other R&D team members within larger development

projects, and R&D Centers in Japan, other countries

• Support the Senior Development Engineer and Technical Manager of the Material Development team


• Master’s degree, equivalent or higher degree in Engineering such as Polymer Engineering, Polymer

Chemistry, Material Science, Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

• 3-5 years of practical experience of plastics processing such as compounding, twin screw extrusion

and injection molding

• Expertise with mechanical and analytical polymer evaluation and testing at third parties as

universities, institutes and industry

• Fluent German and English

• Intercultural experience is appreciated
