One of the world's largest Japanese semiconductor distributors is looking for an IT Manager EMEA (m/f/d) in Munich.


Job Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Management

  • Develop IT strategy aligning with EMEA Operations, Japan HQ, and other regions

  • Execute IT strategy aligned with business goals

  • Manage IT vendors

  • Lead IT projects (infrastructure integration, etc.)

 

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Oversee network, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems

  • Ensure high availability and performance of IT services with third party help desk functions

  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle

 

Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards (e.g., GDPR)

  • Monitor risks, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity threats

     

Applications & Business Support

  • Coordinate with departments (Sales, Operations, Finance) for IT solutions

  • Manage EDI/integration projects with suppliers and customers

 

User Support & Service Delivery

  • Ensure high-quality IT support and service desk performance by managing IT vendor

 

Place of work: Munich Office
3 days/week at the office, 2 days/week Home Office possible after probationary period


Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 

     

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in IT related market

  • Experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) highly preferred

  • Experience in project management and system implementation

 

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud platforms

  • Project management skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

  • English: Mandatory (business fluent level)

  • Additional languages (e.g., German, French, Japanese): Advantage for global coordination
