OVERVIEW
An international bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to join its Japanese Corporate Banking Division in Düsseldorf, Germany. The team supports Japanese corporate clients across various industries by providing financing solutions, credit services, and relationship management within the European market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage relationships with Japanese corporate clients
Serve as the main point of contact for banking products and services
Identify business opportunities and support expansion of existing business
Conduct financial analysis and evaluate credit risk of clients
Prepare and review credit applications, internal ratings, and lending proposals
Collaborate with internal teams (credit, risk, operations) for smooth transactions
Monitor client performance and market/industry developments
Support loan renewals, amendments, and new financing arrangements
Conduct sector and competitor analysis to assess client positioning
Participate in client meetings and business development activities
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
Experience in corporate banking, relationship management, or credit analysis
Strong knowledge of corporate finance and credit risk assessment
Ability to conduct financial analysis and prepare credit documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skill and experiences
Experience working with Japanese corporate clients
Knowledge or experience in credit analysis and lending processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to build long-term client relationships
COMPANY BENEFITS
Salary: €60,000 – €80,000 per year (depending on experience)
13th month salary included
Full-time position (initial 2-year contract with potential for permanent role)
Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Hybrid working option (up to 2 days home office after training)
