JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyse market trends and prices which related to the forestry industry to make purchasing decisions
- Identify and establish relationships with new and existing suppliers in Germany to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain
- Analyse cost and negotiate offers from suppliers to ensure that the company is getting the best possible price
- Ensure the procurement budget and cost are controlled and resources are allocated effectively
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery as well as container loadings management
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, and develop strategies to improve and maintain performance
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Over 5 years of professional experience in procurement and supply chains
- At least 3 years of experience in the wood/forest industry
- Able to independently work
- Ready to travel around Germany
- EU driving license
- Very good German and English skills to communicate confidently at all levels
