COMPANY OVERVIEW
A Japanese famous beverage manufacturer is seeking a sales representative (m/f/d) for its whisky business development in Europe and Middle East market. The office is located in Düsseldorf, but Home-office based work (also from outside Germany) negotiable.

The brewery company launched its Japanese whiskey in 2023 in Europe and since it has been sold in 7 European countries. As the popularity of Japanese whiskey is growing, the company is keen to capitalize on this favorable trend to exploit further growth potential in Germany and in other countries.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Learning and getting deep insights into the whiskey business and market (both on- and off-sites), supported by the expat sales team in Düsseldorf
  • Work closely with wholesalers and diverse customers and develop a strong network
  • Intensive CRM
  • Permanent search for market information, new trends and business opportunities by engaging with the “market” and share information with the sales team and the French, Italian and German colleagues
  • Developing strategies and measures for sales and marketing to exploit business opportunities together with the sales team in Dusseldorf
  • Expand business in the designated markets
  • Participate, initiate and facilitate sales, customer events
  • Responsible for social media marketing (Facebook, X, Instagram etc.) for the designated markets
  • Establish and develop intensive network among food and beer experts and influencers
  • Business trips to the designated markets, including Japan (occasionally)
  • Preparing market/trend reports on a monthly basis

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Academic degree in any subject, alternatively a professional qualification
  • Some years of sales experience in the on- and off-channel sector, preferably in the FMCG industry (and preferably related to spirits), in the hospitality industry or in the branded goods business
  • Strong interest in Japan, Japanese food and Japanese culture is essential

  • Willing to work all over Europe
  • A dynamic and participative team player in a multinational environment
  • Proactive and easily accessible
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for different levels of counterparts
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, Japanese not mandatory and any other European language is an advantage
  • Advanced user knowledge of MS Office products incl. PowerPoint and other current Office IT programs
  • Driving license
