OVERVIEW
This position is at a logistics company that provides comprehensive freight transportation and warehousing services in Germany and beyond. With offices in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich, Prague and Milano, the company offers a range of services including air, maritime, and land transport, as well as sophisticated warehouse management. They focus on efficient transportation solutions, reducing transit times and minimizing risks associated with the movement of goods.
They are looking for a committed colleague as Accounting Supervisor/Assistant Manager (m/f/d) in Germany to join their finance team in Frankfurt am Main.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle weekly payment transactions.
Report to bank and check bank balances.
Keep track of petty cash for both office and personal use.
Issue financial statements for customers, subsidiaries, and agents.
Arrange payments.
Create profit, warehouse, and management reports.
Organize and support audits.
File personal income taxes for overseas residents.
Daily Tasks such as Mail checks, Document collection and invoice filing, Email responses, Supplier invoice and exchange rate checks, Bank reconciliation and petty cash management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Successfully completed studies in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance or comparable
Knowledge of German GAAP
Knowledge of German tax law
ERP knowledge
Knowledge of MS Excel
Team leadership experience a plus
Very good knowledge of German and English
It is advantageous if you can speak Japanese
Sense of responsibility and solution-oriented thinking
Structured, independent and conscientious way of working with a high degree of precision
Ability to work in a team
Good communication and cooperation skills
