MAIN ROLE
As the new dynamic and ambitious Business Development Associate, you and the team will develop the Open Innovation activities in Europe by bridging the gap between the existing industrial business and Business Development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Research / Intelligence work
- Online research either open-source or through portal for relevant Start-ups and innovation Hubs as requested
- Organize and sort in-house database and CRM with updated information
- Keep updated on new trends and business model with regular updates to management
Lead Generation& Account Management
- Support the mapping of Open Innovation network eco-system for Deep Tech/Smart City in Europe
- Join key stakeholder events and gather information from interested start-ups as requested
- Liaise with Start-ups and become key-focal point for relevant stakeholders
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and market requirements
Project Support
- Support General Manager or Managers in key strategic initiatives and generating new partnerships
- Review contracts and support on documentation
- Preparing the material for both internal / external presentation
Other Duties
- General Secretarial duties (hotel and travel arrangements, appointment scheduling, accountant claim settlement etc.)
- Travel as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- EU Citizen
- Educated to degree level
- 1-3 years of professional experience
- Passionate about new technology as well as industry and engineering
- Fluent in written and oral English and Swedish.
- Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skills
- Driving a co-car.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Experience working in Japanese organization or a Japanese owned company or understanding or working with Japanese head office and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, PPE or engineering
- Consultative/ investors approach (logical/mathematics)
- Ability to understand engineering concepts
- Sales or Account management experience and competency with CRM.
- Analytic skills –whether technical (software), financial or legal much appreciated
- Any additional European language
- Experience in steel industry or mobility, battery business
- Willingness to travel (between 5% to 10% of the time)
