Our client has long been active in the field of forwarding (cargo transportation), with multiple locations throughout Germany. They provide high-quality logistics services as part of an international network, closely collaborating with their headquarters in Japan. They are looking for a Distribution Manager (Head of Distribution Department) (m/f/d) to expand the team in Düsseldorf.
Job Responsibilities
Management of the distribution team
Daily shipment operations management and response
Handling customer claims (quality, delivery deadlines, incorrect shipments, etc.)
Coordination and improvement proposals with the warehouse (WH)
Planning and implementation of quality improvement activities (KPI analysis, improvement planning and execution)
Staff training and education to improve quality
Preparation and compliance monitoring of operational manuals (SOPs)
Coordination with other departments, branches, and overseas offices
Operation and audit response based on quality management systems such as ISO 9001
Other related duties as instructed by superiors
Job Requirements
Business-level fluency in German and English
Over 10 years of practical experience in the logistics industry
Proven management experience (as team leader or manager)
Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Understanding and experience with QCM (Quality Control Management) systems such as ISO 9001
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Reliability in following SOPs
