A Japanese company is seeking a Automotive Engineer(m/f/d) in the Stuttgart area. The ideal candidate should have some level of experience in product design and development within the automotive industry. The candidate should have a background working with European OEMs or Tier-I suppliers and preferably possess global working experience.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in product design and development activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements and provide technical recommendations.
Work closely with European OEMs or Tier-I suppliers to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies and engineering evaluations for new products or components.
Coordinate and communicate with customers to gather feedback, clarify specifications, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Utilize design software CATIA-V5 and NX (Added advantage) to create and modify product designs.
Assist in the development and improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to automotive engineering.
Job Requirements
Bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar.
Experience in product design and development within the automotive industry.
Previous working experience with European OEMs or Tier-I suppliers is an advantage
Global working experience and experience working with Japanese companies are considered an added advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of automotive components, including sunroofs, pneumatic seats, power back doors, and auto doors.
Proficiency in design software CATIA-V5 is a must.
Knowledge of Siemens NX would be an advantage
Good customer communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Business-level German and English are mandatory. (Japanese would be an added advantage)
Knowledge in conducting testing and evaluations to ensure product quality and compliance.
Familiarity with engineering software and tools relevant to automotive design and development.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Good organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in automotive engineering.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
