A Japanese company is looking for Financial Accountant (m/f/d) in Munich office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Receivables management, including dunning processes, payment monitoring, and resolution of outstanding items
- Active involvement in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting
Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
Assistance with tax returns and collaboration with external tax advisors
Maintenance and continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
Preparation of financial reports and evaluations for management
Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external partners
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Completed commercial training with further qualification as a financial accountant or a comparable certification
Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in financial accounting, ideally with a focus on receivables management
Strong knowledge of HGB; familiarity with German VAT law (UStG) is a plus
Proficient in accounting software such as DATEV, SAP, or Business Central
High numerical affinity, strong analytical skills, and a structured working style
Proactive and reliable with a hands-on mentality and a high level of initiative
A team player with flexibility, discretion, and a collaborative mindset
Language skills:
English: Business-level proficiency required
German or Japanese: Proficiency is an advantage
