COMPANY OVERVIEW
A Japanese power transmission and conveyor belting manufacturer is looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d). They work with customers in a large number of diverse industries and with a history spanning over 130 years and 18 affiliates in 13 different countries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks
Manage accounts receivable, including collection activities, monitoring payment status, and resolving outstanding balances
Support accounting operations for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB
Support for tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors
Cooperate with internal departments/external partners
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Upper business-level German and English
Completed commercial training with further qualification as a financial accountant or a comparable certification
Min. 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting
Strong knowledge of HGB; familiarity with German VAT law
Proficient in accounting software such as DATEV, SAP, or Business Central
Solid computer skills, including MS Office and marketing software (CRM)
Communication skills and social competence
