A pioneering Japanese company in vacuum solutions is seeking a Field Service (industrial) Engineer EMEA (m/f/d) in Munich.
Job Responsibilities
Advice and support European customers regarding the full range of the products
Installation, implementation and start-up the equipment and components throughout Europe
Troubleshoot and analyze defects on-site or online
Service and repair the systems in the field
Technical support in-house and on-site customers
Documentation and reporting
Interface between customers and our departments
Sales support for spare parts, components, service and special technical solutions
Technical support for tests and special applications of our customers in the laboratories
Preventive maintenance and addressing the challenges presented by our customers
Train customers on the products
Job Requirements
High technical competence i.e. Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or technical apprenticeship with 3-5 years
Experience with industrial vacuum equipment (metal treatment and film coating evaporation process, components vacuum leak testing)
experience with equipment such as Sputtering, CVD, Etching process
Knowledge in PLC, I/O communications and substrate transfer robot is desirable
Experience in troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues
Know-how in working on mechanical, computer, electrical, pneumatics and electro-mechanical control systems
Well-organized, able to work in a team as well as independently
Fluent English required / Proficiency in German, Japanese, or Chinese would be considered a valuable asset.
Good Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers as well as ability to work in a team
Ability to proactively identify and consistently follow up on customer needs
Good-hand worker and ability to make own explanation reports/materials for customer understanding
High flexibility, motivation and willingness to travel within Europe and overseas around 70%
Ability to travel at a short notice and able to attend to oversea equipment installation 3-6 months.
Living in Germany and willing to move to Munich, valid visa or blue card. Must be able to travel internationally without restrictions
