COMPANY OVERVIEW
A leading organization at the forefront of automation and robotics within the manufacturing sector seeks an experienced HR Manager (f/m/d) to spearhead the establishment of its HR department. Based in Willich, Germany, this role is central to the company’s European operations, which focus on innovation through mechanical engineering. The position requires a fluent German speaker with proficiency in English, ideally complemented by a passion for technology and people management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishment of HR Department: The HR Manager will lead the creation and structuring of the HR department, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and local compliance.
  • Personnel Management: Responsible for managing all aspects of employee relations, including holiday, sickness, and absence management using the internal system, ZE.expert. They will maintain up-to-date personnel records and respond to employee inquiries regarding leaves, benefits, and company policies.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: This role involves driving the recruitment process from attracting talent to onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration of new hires into the company culture. The HR Manager will collaborate with teams and management to prepare employment contracts and facilitate exits.
  • Regulatory Compliance: The manager will stay updated with the latest labor laws and ensure company policies adhere to these regulations. They will work closely with external service providers to update practices as needed.
  • Strategic HR Initiatives: Support the implementation of strategic HR initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. They will provide guidance on new legislation and oversee the adherence to internal guidelines.
  • Support and Training: The HR Manager will assist in the development and delivery of training programs that promote skill enhancement and personal growth among employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Completed commercial training with a strong background in HR management. Experience in establishing and leading an HR department is highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and familiar with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central. Experience with ZE.expert is advantageous.

Language Proficiency: Excellent command of German (C2 level or equivalent) and business-level English. Knowledge of Japanese would be a significant asset.

Personal Competencies: Exceptional communication skills, empathetic understanding, and a strong interest in business and personal development. Proactive, diligent, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Ethic: High degree of commitment, flexibility, and a service-oriented mentality.

Change Management: Experience with change management processes and successfully implementing HR strategies in a growing or transforming organization.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to utilize HR analytics and data to inform decision-making and improve HR operations.

Cultural Competence: Experience in managing diverse teams and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.

Production Site Experience: Proven experience in managing HR functions within a production site environment, understanding the unique challenges and requirements of a manufacturing workforce.
