COMPANY OVERVIEW

A leading global IT infrastructure and services company is looking for a parttime Inside Sales Officer or Sales administrator (m/f/d) in Düsseldorf. This role is critical to the success of the Pan-European Japanese Multi-National Corporation (JMNC) sales team with a sales support function sharing the workload of administrative sales tasks as a single virtual team. The role is to ensure the timely completion of support tasks including processing orders, preparing basic quotations, processing contracts and liaising with customers on behalf of sales staff. Effective Client Administration depends on a strong teamwork / work ethic and the ability to take the initiative when circumstances require it. The ability to prioritize day-to-day work is critical to the Inside Sales Officer's ability to meet the dynamic demands of the sales team and customers.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage customer quotes from start to finish and manage through internal approval processes
  • Create a Statement of Requirements documents to support quote approvals
  • Responsible for the customer creation & order management in internal systems
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries and coordinate resources as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Liaise directly with customer in defining customers requirement, sending quotes, and relevant contract documents
  • Support the Sales Team in obtaining relevant information for customer proposals
  • Understand all the core service offered by the company
  • Taking the necessary measures on the company’s core systems to make changes to customer solutions and services
  • Assist in the management and retention of existing clients on behalf of the client managers
  • Exceeding client expectations / deadlines and helping ensure that the company is the chosen service provider of choice in the selection of their outsource ICT solutions
  • Become the Sales team ‘expert’ in the management and use of internal systems, helping to adapt and enhance systems as part of a continuous improvement process
  • Diligent and speedy processing of customer-oriented material to ensure a good customer experience

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out customer related activities from the outset
  • Strong numerical capabilities to understand the fundamentals of ‘margin’ when creating quotes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, but also to be able to take on workload at a moment’s notice
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong self-motivation and hands-on approach
  • Ability to grasp new technology concepts and translate and deliver at a clear communicable level
  • Languages: Fluent language skills in Japanese and business level English (Language skill in German is not necessary but would be an advantage)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry 
  • Previous experience in sales support role would be an advantage
  • A general understanding of the ICT industry and interest in learning the fast-changing ICT marketplace
