A Japan-based precious metal recycling company, known for its high purity and high quality, is seeking a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to support business expansion into the European precious metals and jewelry markets. The role requires a professional who can open doors to key clients and lead new business development initiatives in Europe.
Job Responsibilities
Approach procurement and raw material teams at jewelry brands across Europe (mainly Switzerland, France, Germany, etc.)
Promote the features and value of high-purity recycled precious metals and develop new customers
Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients
Develop a local industry network and plan/execute marketing activities
Conduct business development activities at trade shows (e.g., Watches & Wonders)
Communicate and report regularly with the headquarters in Japan and Asia
Business travel within Europe as required
Job Requirements
Business-level English proficiency (Japanese or an additional European language is a plus).
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or raw material supplier management at a jewelry, precious metals, or watch manufacturer OR experience as a sales representative handling jewelry manufacturers at a precious metal recycling/refining company (at least one required)
Understanding of and network within the European jewelry industry.
Knowledge of precious metal refining, recycled materials, or sustainable materials

This position will report directly to the headquarters in Japan.
As this is a fully remote position, candidates may reside anywhere within Europe, provided they hold a valid work permit.
