COMPANY OVERVIEW
A Japanese manufacturer for automotive (ex. gaskets and seals) is seeking an Engineer in Düsseldorf. Their German entity has almost 30 years of history and more than 20 employees, and six of them are Engineering teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product design such as rubber gaskets (product design, product model, drawing creation)
- Meetings with automobile manufacturers and Tier 1 manufacturers, daily communication, project progress management
- Product evaluation
- Communication with Japanese technical team
- Market research
- Test setup / test equipment operation / report
- Development of sealing systems in the area of the vehicle powertrain in cooperation with the individual customers
- constructive realization of the design solutions under consideration of the cost-optimal, technical representation of the components.
- Coordination of test scopes and sample parts as well as documentation of the respective project
- Monitoring of the component release process
- Monitoring of QM measures as well as adjusting and entering changes and improvements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Native or Business level German and English (Japanese is an advantage)
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent major
- 2+ years of engineering experience (especially in the automotive industry)
- Experience using 3D design software (CATIA, etc.), 2D design software, and analysis software or knowledge from school
- Experience using various testing machines and measuring equipment
- General PC Skills
- Driver's License
- Experience working in a Japanese company is welcomed
