JOB RESPONSIBILITIE
As the Finance Manager, you will lead the finance function in Europe, reporting directly to the Director of Operations and the Managing Director. You will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, audits, and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with the numbers and managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting transactionsIndependently close monthly, quarterly, and annual books and prepare financial statementsPrepare budget vs. actual analysis and year-to-date reports for the Managing Director and Japan HQ
Create monthly cash flow statements
Coordinate and support annual audits with external auditors
Oversee all accounting operations and monitor financial performance across divisions
Handle tax-related matters including VAT
Manage payroll accounting
Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Qualifications (All must be met):
Fluent in both German and English (Japanese is a plus but not required)
- Professional financial qualifications (e.g., CA, CPA)
- Strong experience managing small finance teams and performing hands-on accounting tasks
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
